We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or voice control. This statement explains what we’ve done, where we know we can improve, and how to tell us about a problem.
Our standard
We design and test this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, the standard referenced by Canadian accessibility guidance.
What we’ve done
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to main content” link.
- Headings, landmarks and labels are structured so screen readers can navigate each page.
- Text and buttons meet WCAG AA colour-contrast ratios.
- Forms have visible labels, clear error messages and an error summary that links to each problem.
- Images have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Animations respect your device’s “reduce motion” setting.
- Videos load only when you press play, and the layout works from small phones to large screens and when zoomed to 200%.
How we test
We check pages with automated tools (axe and Lighthouse), test keyboard navigation by hand, and review layouts at several screen sizes before we publish changes.
Known limitations
- The booking calendar is provided by HubSpot and embedded on our site. If it’s hard to use with your assistive technology, email or call us and we’ll book a time for you.
- YouTube videos are hosted by YouTube; captions depend on what YouTube provides.
- Some older blog images may not yet have detailed descriptions. We’re adding them as we update each article.
